The F&B DIRECTOR

F&B Dir. will be responsible for short and long term planning and day-to-day operations of the F&B related areas including the hiring, training and supervision of all F&B Team.  He/she’s in charge of managing the F&B budget within approved budget constraints.  

The F&B Dir. will collaborate with the Owner, Operations Director, Executive Chef and others to develop successful concepts for all F&B outlets.

The F&B Dir. will ensure consistent top quality standards of service and will achieve high guest engagement while creating a productive work environment. 

As a leader of BE, the F&B Director will possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and be seen as a willing partner and trusting colleague that seeks solutions together. This position will be the expert in F&B staying abreast of developments and trends in the field.  Is seen as approachable, readily and easily sharing knowledge and experience with others. 

Obiettivi del ruolo

The main responsibilities:

o Develops short and medium term financial objectives and ensures that each F&B outlet achieves the expected financial returns

o Continuously monitor trends and guest feedback in order to develop, innovate and deliver a experience which is quality driven and memorable.

o Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the whole Food & Beverage Operation

o Lead and manage the day to day operations of the Food & Beverage Division ensuring all service standards are followed

o Drive innovative promotions, menus and concepts; creating a destination of choice for both Hotel and external guests

o Lead and support all Food & Beverage departments in the achievement of their financial and operational targets

o Prepare annual budgets and administer in a fiscally responsible manner

o Implement effective control of food, beverage, labour and operating expenses throughout the F&B division

o Ensure the implementation of standards in guest service and constantly seek out ways to improve product and service as well as increase volumes and profits

o Oversee the selection, training and development of all Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth

o Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

o Take a lead in ensuring the most successful events and celebrations, through proper planning and outstanding execution.

o Take a lead in promoting Continuous Improvement projects.

Requisiti del ruolo

Required skills/competencies:

o Sophisticated leadership skills with experience managing multiple outlets

o Fluent English speaking and writing, a third language is a plus

o Previous Food & Beverage experience in a senior leadership role required

o Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

o Understands and implements strategy and can bring a concept to life for guests

o Highly responsible & reliable

o Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

o Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

o Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

o Demonstrates curiosity and strives to build a high performance, diverse team
